Peter Finnigan QC: Notable case

SFO -v- Reynolds, Venskus -&- Alstom Power Ltd - Alstom (Phase 2) (2017)

Peter is currently instructed by the SFO to prosecute multi million pound bribery and corruption offences arising out of the SFO's long-ranging and extensive investigation into the 'Alstom' Group of companies. Alstom is a multi-national conglomerate with its headquarters in Paris. It is engaged in the transport and power markets. The prosecution involves its activities in 5 jurisdictions. The case is one of the biggest and most challenging of the cases currently undertaken by the SFO. The prosecutions are of both corporates and individuals. Trials will take place in 2017.
