Ranked as Leader in Crime by Chambers UK
28.7.2014

Fallon Alexis is ranked as a Leader in her Field in the Practice Area of Crime (London (Bar). For Fallons review in Chambers UK 2015 please see below;

Fallon is an outstanding Barrister at QEB Hollis Whiteman, “a junior tenant, but she has a bright future” practicing in crime, fraud, and regulatory and professional discipline. She prosecutes and defends regularly in the Crown Court, and is recognised by colleagues and clients alike for the passion and dedication she puts into her caseload. “Fantastic written work. Great feedback from clients.” Fallon’s criminal work covers the full range of offences. She was recently instructed as led junior defending in a large fraud and money laundering case, which resulted in an acquittal on all counts. Fallon also receives instructions from HMRC in appeals before the First-tier Tribunal (Tax Chamber). She has gained experience in a bribery case, specifically in relation to a company's compliance with disclosure notices issued by the SFO and has experience of prosecutions brought by the OFT, having been seconded there for 11 months. Meticulous preparation, coupled with her legal knowledge, makes Fallon a highly accomplished lawyer. She is comfortable dealing with high-profile cases, as demonstrated by her role as junior counsel for the defence in the trial of Rebekah Brooks, instructed by Kingsley Napley LLP. Throughout the trial Fallon demonstrated the strong work ethic that she is rapidly becoming known for. Following Brooks’ acquittal, Jonathan Laidlaw QC described Fallon and her fellow junior as ‘fearsomely bright and intensely loyal’. Since joining QEB Hollis Whiteman in 2009, Fallon’s reputation as a rising star has enabled her to gain experience far beyond her level of call.
