Fraud: Trading Standards

Our Trading Standards Practice Group is regularly instructed by Local Authorities throughout the country on a wide range of trading standards issues.

We specialise in confiscation proceedings in all trading standards cases, particularly those involving counterfeit goods and the infringement of intellectual property rights.

Our particular expertise and experience includes:

  • product safety
  • consumer credit
  • car clocking
  • counterfeit goods
  • food safety
  • consumer protection
  • trade description matters

We regularly provide training in trading standards law and practice, including training members of the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) - a not-for-profit trade association, which is recognised as a leading authority on the worldwide trade in fakes and counterfeits.
