Tom Baker prosecutes and defends in cases of serious crime as a led junior and as sole junior. He is experienced in dealing with probe evidence, cell site evidence, and with issues of sensitivity in the context of disclosure. He has advised on the execution of letters of request in foreign jurisdictions and on the sifting of privileged material prior to seizure of documents by the police. He has extensive experience of issues arising in confiscation proceedings, including at appellate level.
Tom also acts for medical and other regulatory bodies in relation to fitness to practise and in criminal and civil jurisdictions.

Tom advises on all aspects of criminal law, with a particular interest in advising public bodies and corporate clients. Clients include a community centre and a television production company.
In 2009-2010 Tom was seconded to solicitors’ firm Peters & Peters for a period of three months, where he assisted in the preparation for a significant extradition hearing and in the giving of advice in criminal cartel, fraud and cash forfeiture matters.
