He has advised on the execution of letters of request in foreign jurisdictions and on the sifting of privileged material prior to seizure of documents by the police. He has extensive experience of issues arising in confiscation proceedings, including at appellate level.

Tom also acts for medical and other regulatory bodies in relation to fitness to practise and in criminal and civil jurisdictions.

Tom prosecutes on behalf of and advises trading standards services in relation to trademark and unfair trading offences, and has prosecuted corporate defendants.  He was a speaker at the Trading Standards Institute's 2011 Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards Conference and Exhibition.  He advises on all aspects of criminal law, with a particular interest in advising public bodies and corporate clients. Clients include a community centre and a television production company.
