R v Sakavickas & Reichwald (2008)

David Jeremy QC instructed to lead the prosecution in this landmark money-laundering case in which the prosecution agreed to stay its case on the defendant’s undertaking to pay compensation to losers: a resolution that anticipates the ‘settlement’ of criminal cases alleging financial crime. Jocelyn Ledward was junior prosecution counsel. Rebecca Harris was junior prosecution counsel for the original trial.
