Summary
Robin Grey QC’s practice is predominantly criminal work, acting both for prosecution and defence. He has acted in several serious fraud cases and many high-profile murder cases.
He is experienced in tribunal work; has defended several professionals – e.g. solicitors, surveyors, accountants and bank managers – in professional disciplinary cases; and he has defended in both Army and RAF General and District Courts Martial on many occasions in Germany.
Robin currently sits as a Legal Assessor to the General Medical Council.

Among many prominent cases, Robin Grey represented the Editor and the magazine in the ‘Nasty Tales’ obscenity case in 1972. This was at the time of and linked to the ‘OZ’ trial.Robin acted for the defence in all three Brinks Mat trials, in 1984, relating to the theft of £26m worth of gold bullion.
He also acted for the RAF in the Cyprus 'Spy' Inquiry in 1985. This was a controversial trial of RAF servicemen charged with passing secrets to a hostile intelligence service.
