David Groome and Ari Alibhai secure confiscation order for nearly £1m against directors of Digicam on behalf of FA Premier League and Sky

At Guildford Crown Court today Deputy Circuit Judge Critchlow, formerly the Recorder of Guildford, ordered the directors of Digicam International Limited, Leon Passlow and Simon Hopkins, to pay almost £1 million following contested confiscation proceedings. The application under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 followed the successful Private Prosecution in 2015 of the directors for a large scale, systematic and sophisticated fraud against the FAPL ( Football Association, Premier League ) and Sky and for which they were originally sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment. The defendants have been ordered to pay within 3 months or face a further 6 years in prison.
