We are delighted to announce that as of the 1^st April 2024 Jennifer Newcomb will be Treasury Counsel Monitoree for a period of three years.

Treasury Counsel Monitorees are appointed by Robert Courts KC MP, HM Solicitor General to undertake the work of Treasury Counsel during a period of assessment, before being made Treasury Counsel, where successful.  Treasury Counsel are a team of specialist advocates who prosecute many of the most serious and complex cases in the country, and advise and appear on behalf of the Law Officers and other government departments.

QEB Hollis Whiteman are proud to have a long history with the role of Treasury Counsel and have four members in ‘The Room’, two senior, one junior and one monitoree.  We hope to continue with this tradition across future generations.

Jennifer specialises in: serious, sensitive and high-profile crime; corporate and financial crime; and inquests, inquiries and public law.
