Selva Ramasamy KC acted for a senior doctor facing charges of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child on the internet.

The case involved an undercover police operation targeting the Lycos website, during which undercover officers engaged in communications with users of the website, and during conversations posed as young persons.

The doctor’s case was that he believed he was communicating with an adult at all relevant times.

The prosecution offered no evidence during the course of the trial.
