Susannah Stevens instructed to represent two Metropolitan Police officers, Inspector M and PC R, facing a gross misconduct hearing

The officers faced the hearing as a result of an allegation of racial misconduct, made by a fire-fighter following the London riots. The defence disclosure requests unearthed a failure by the IPCC to identify and then disclose key witness details and documents.

Susannah lodged disclosure and abuse of process skeleton arguments. After a week the IPCC withdrew the direction and apologised to the officers. The IPCC Commissioner has now stood down and is the subject to a criminal investigation.
