Tom was instructed to present a case against Dr C, a recovering alcoholic. She was alleged to be impaired by reason of misconduct (drinking on shift), conviction (a serious drink drive conviction), and ill-heath (alcoholism).
The Dr represented herself, assisted by a MacKenzie friend. The Dr was suspended for 12 months following a two week hearing before the MPTS.
