R v Marshall (2017)

Edward Brown QC prosecuted the defendant for what was described as a unprecedented murder.

This matter attracted, after the recent trial, a 39-year minimum term of imprisonment from the Recorder of London at the CCC of a gay man befriended by the fantasist defendant.

The killing was recorded on CCTV in the home of the deceased, following which the defendant went on to kill one further man in Italy and attempted to kill a third man using the same method of entrapment. The jury had to be warned about the disturbing nature of the case and the CCTV recording.

Trial completed in 2017
