Paul Wakerley represents GMC in fitness to practice hearing of anaesthetist blackmail victim

QEB Hollis Whiteman member Paul Wakerley appears for the General Medical Council, before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, in a hearing to determine the fitness to practice of Dr Rupert Pemsel who admits charges of misconduct following his liaison with a prostitute on hospital premises and taking an unauthorised photograph of a patient’s x-rays.

The conduct of trainee anaesthetist Dr Pemsel came to light when an associate of the prostitute attempted to blackmail him and he complained to the police.
