Polly Dyer prosecuted two individuals convicted of conspiring to import and supply 430Kg of cocaine.

Polly Dyer prosecuted two individuals convicted of conspiring fraudulently to evade the prohibition on the importation of a controlled drug of class A and conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A. The case related to approximately 430kg of cocaine, worth over £32m, imported in a container of yams from Costa Rica.

The investigation was conducted by the National Crime Agency, and Polly was instructed by the CPS. She was led by Michael Bisgrove of 6KBW College Hill. The defendants were convicted after a 7 week trial at Southwark Crown Court and sentenced to 21 and 15 years’ imprisonment respectively.
