Charlotte joined chambers in September 2025. Her pupil supervisor is Philip McGhee.
Experience
Before commencing pupillage, Charlotte worked as a paralegal in crime and public inquiries. She assisted in representing core participants in the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry and Undercover Policing Inquiry. She also completed Part I of the Police Station Accreditation scheme, enabling her to provide legal advice and assistance to clients in police custody.
Charlotte previously worked as an assistant at the Old Bailey, where she observed a wide range of high-profile criminal trials and supported the Recorder of London’s outreach initiatives.
Charlotte has undertaken pro bono work as a volunteer at Amicus ALJ and courtwatcher for Transform Justice. She was also the Chief Editor of a policy paper published by the Wilberforce society, which examined the harms and inequalities associated with the criminalisation of sex work.
