Chris Emmings is a clerk with over 20 years experience.


A Senior Clerk with enormous and varied experience in clerking. He holds the most senior position in Chambers and is responsible for strategy and business development.


Chris joined QEB Hollis Whiteman in 2008, having previously been at 6 King's Bench Walk for 11 years. He became Senior Clerk in November 2012. He has over 20 years' experience as a clerk, having progressed throughout his career working within large criminal and regulatory chambers.

Chris studied the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management course for Barristers' Clerks.

He enjoys participating and watching all sports, particularly football, golf, cricket and rugby and – for his sins – he is an avid West Ham fan. Chris also enjoys travelling and is currently learning Spanish in his spare time.
