Joel joined chambers in September 2025. His pupil supervisor is Orla Daly.
Experience
Joel read history at the University of Cambridge, where he served as President of the Cambridge Union and Vice-President of the Cambridge University Law Society.
Joel has a background in politics. He was elected President of the Union of Jewish Students of the UK and Ireland, representing the organisation during a high-profile KC-led investigation into discrimination within the National Union of Students. Whilst studying the bar course, Joel worked as Parliamentary Researcher to a Cabinet Minister.
Joel has a range of pro bono experience and has served as a trustee on the boards of three charities. He taught debating to inmates at HMP Wormwood Scrubs through the Gray's Inn Vocalise initiative and volunteered for the Prisoner's Advice Service. He also served as an ambulance first responder.
