Joel joined chambers in September 2025. His pupil supervisor is Orla Daly.
Experience
Joel read history at the University of Cambridge, where he served as President of the Cambridge Union and Vice-President of the Cambridge University Law Society.
Joel has a background in politics. He was elected President of the Union of Jewish Students of the UK and Ireland, representing the organisation during a high-profile KC-led investigation into discrimination within the National Union of Students. He volunteered on Sarah Sackman KC MP's campaign team in the 2024 general election. Whilst studying the bar course, Joel worked as Parliamentary Researcher to Darren Jones MP ahead of the 2025 Spending Review.
Joel has a range of pro bono experience and has served as a trustee on the boards of three charities. He taught debating to inmates at HMP Wormwood Scrubs through the Gray's Inn Vocalise initiative, volunteered for the Prisoners' Advice Service, and has worked as an ambulance first responder.
