R v P & M (2012)

Philip Stott prosecuted two managers at the Royal Bank of Scotland for their participation in a 2007 mortgage fraud.

The case revolved around the expert handwriting evidence showing that each defendant had handwritten entries on false tenancy agreements purportedly entered into by Reuters. The false agreements were then put forward to demonstrate the serviceability of two mortgage applications worth over £1 million.
