Philip Stott has been appointed co-Chair, with Susan Grocott KC (a family law practitioner), of the Legal Services Committee on the Bar Council for 2023.

The LSC is responsible for keeping under review the development of the work of the Bar in England and Wales including; considering matters affecting the administration of justice and other matters affecting the interests of the Bar, maintaining relations with and making representations to government and others with a common interest in the administration of justice, monitoring and liaising with the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund, and generally supporting the strategic aims of the Bar Council.

Philip and Susan will be working closely with the Chair of the Bar, Nick Vineall KC, the Vice-Chair, Sam Townend KC, and the General Management Committee of the Bar Council, to achieve those aims over the next year.
