Police Federation Seminar

We are pleased to host a half-day seminar at our Chambers in London, designed for Police Federation representatives and solicitors engaged in police misconduct hearings.

This seminar will provide practical, up-to-date insight into the fast-evolving regulatory landscape with contributions from members of Chambers.

We will examine:

  • The impact of recent regulatory changes (including the presumption of dismissal for gross misconduct and "exceptional circumstances" & recent case law).
  • Allegations of discrimination - lessons from Child Q.
  • When police misconduct becomes criminal - the parameters of the offence of misconduct in a public office.
  • Tactical advice on the effective us of Regulation 18 and 31 responses, strategic use of silence and the importance of brevity in protecting clients.

The seminar will include opportunities for discussion, Q&A and networking - ensuring a practical and engaging session.
