PC Russell Kyle’s vehicle hit a man on a pedestrian crossing while PC Kyle was responding to a 999 call.

The police officer was responding to reports of a man wielding weapons, including an axe, hammer and a hatchet.  

PC Russell Kyle was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
