Allison Clare KC Speaks at the 2025 Fraud Lawyers Association Economic Crime Conference

On 20 June 2025, Allison Clare KC of QEB Hollis Whiteman took part in the Fraud Lawyers Association Economic Crime Conference, held at A&O Shearman.

The in-person event brought together senior legal professionals, academics and regulators to discuss current and emerging issues in the field of economic crime.

Allison spoke on the opening panel, ‘Case Law Update and Discussion of Recent Development in Economic Crime’, alongside Richard Sallybanks (BCL Solicitors LLP), Mary Young (Kingsley Napley), Professor David Omerod KC (Red Lion Chambers & University College London), and Mark Heywood KC (5KBW).

The session examined key legal developments shaping corporate and financial crime practice in the UK and beyond. The programme also featured:

  • A keynote address by Hannah von Dadelszen, Chief Crown Prosecutor, SEOCID (CPS Regional and Wales Division)
  • Panels on disclosure across criminal, civil, and regulatory contexts
  • Discussion of UK and US enforcement trends
  • An interactive training session focused on witness handling and the psychology of giving evidence

The event formed part of the #FLAConference25 series and served as a forum for multi-disciplinary exchange across the legal sphere.
