We are very pleased to welcome Anita Clifford to Chambers.
Anita is a highly regarded junior whose practice spans serious crime and financial crime, with particular expertise in complex Proceeds of Crime Act matters and Sanctions.
At QEB, Anita will continue her thriving defence and prosecution practice across serious drugs, firearms and violent offences, while also bringing a new dimension to Chambers’ offering in financial crime. Her advisory and advocacy work on POCA, asset recovery and sanctions matters significantly strengthens Chambers’ expertise in this area.
Joint Head of Chambers Adrian Darbishire KC: “I am really delighted that Anita has come to us. She is extremely well-known in POCA circles, not least for her work on the landmark 2024 World Uyghur Congress case. We are delighted to have Anita’s enthusiasm and experience to draw on as we develop this area of practice.”
Chambers & Partners 2025 comments: “Anita is very knowledgeable about proceeds of crime. She is very smart, highly responsive and always looking for creative ways to extricate the team from problems.”
