Benn Maguire successfully prosecutes man given 14-year sentence for Hackney acid attack robbery

Peter Brown, 29, was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court after pleading guilty to charges of attempted robbery and throwing corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable.

Mr Brown travelled from Essex to Mare Street in Hackney where he met four men. He then provided the four with bottles of ammonia for use in the robbery of a shop in Hackney.

Mr Brown was identified through forensic analysis of the ammonia bottle which was left at the scene.
