Tom Kark QC invited to speak at The Health Foundation event marking 50 years of inquiries in the NHS

The Health Foundation, Political Quarterly and the University of Birmingham held a seminar to mark the 50th anniversary of the publication of the Ely Inquiry; the first public inquiry into care failings in the NHS.

Tom took part in a panel discussion entitled ‘Reflections on NHS inquiries; aims and processes'. The panel was chaired by Nick Timmins, senior fellow at the Institute for Government and The King’s Fund, and also featured Lord Warner, former Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department of Health, and Professor Brian Jarman, Emertitus Professor, Imperial College.
