Nadesh Karu defends British GP protest case, the first case of statutory public nuisance

 

Nadesh is representing two of 6 defendants in what is understood to be the first trial concerning the new statutory offence of public nuisance. The case involves 6 Just Stop Oil Protestors who are alleged to have invaded the Silverstone race track during the British Grand Prix 2022. The case is being heard by Mr Justice Garnham at Northampton Crown Court and is anticipated to last 3 weeks.
