Philip Stott prosecutes nursery worker for child sex offences in 'one of the worst cases of its kind'

On 3 December 2025 at the Crown Court at Wood Green, former nursery worker Vincent Chan pleaded guilty to a total of 26 counts of assaulting children aged under 13 by penetration, sexually assaulting children and taking indecent images of children.  The offences were committed between 2022 and 2024 whilst he was working at the now closed Bright Horizons nursery in Finchley Road, West Hampstead. Sentencing was fixed by HHJ Aaronberg KC to take place on 23 January 2026, and the defendant will be remanded in custody until that date. Philip Stott prosecutes the matter, instructed by the Organised Child Sexual Abuse Unit of the Crown Prosecution Service.
