Zoe Johnson QC successfully defended Doctor Dharmasena in the first ever prosecution brought under the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003.
Zoe defend Dr Dharmasena after he had been accused of performing FGM on a woman after she had given birth. Doctor Dharmasena was found not guilty by the jury and cleared of all allegations.
