Kerry Broome prosecuted seven members of a criminal gang who committed a series of armed robberies and an aggravated burglary in East London in the summer of 2013.
The victims were subjected to gratuitous violence including the use of tasers and stun guns. Five members of the gang fought the allegations at trial and were convicted on 27 June 2014. On 18 July 2014 all seven gang members were sentenced to terms of imprisonment totalling 94 years.
