R v SG (2016)

Representation of solicitor who (together with her accountant husband) was facing allegations of fraud by abuse of position made by the former partner of the practice.

Successful application to dismiss charges (conceded by the prosecution on submissions of written submissions). The case turned on the proper analysis of the evidence and the interpretation of the law concerning LLPs, and involved considerable overlap with proceedings in the Chancery Division in relation to the partnerships. Application for costs against the CPS was also made.
