Overview
Lydia is a serving officer in the Royal Navy and will take up a role within the Naval Legal Service upon completion of pupillage. Prior to commencing pupillage, she gained broad experience across various aspects of military law, including Courts Martial, Service Complaints and operational law.
She was selected as one of the Royal Navy’s representatives for the multinational exercise ‘BALTOPS 2025’, where she worked alongside NATO Legal Advisers to provide training to NATO units on the Law of Armed Conflict and Rules of Engagement. Throughout her career, she has also deployed globally on a variety of operations and exercises.
Lydia has previously volunteered with the charity ‘Support Through Court’ on its national helpline, providing free advice to litigants in person. She has also worked alongside Ukrainian military colleagues to establish a network supporting women serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
