Overview
Before starting pupillage, Sean worked as a representative for the UK’s largest trade union, defending members facing regulatory proceedings across the health, social care and education sectors. He regularly appeared before panels of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Sean also worked in the litigation team of a medical defence union, where he primarily assisted in defending doctors against clinical negligence claims.
During his legal studies, Sean was a representative and subsequently student director of the School Exclusion Project, an award-winning pro bono initiative providing representation to parents and guardians where their child faced permanent exclusion from school.
Prior to studying law, Sean read Philosophy, Politics & Economics at the University of Oxford and worked at an HIV rights charity.
