Alex Mullen represented LB, a former Managing Associate at a US law firm, in relation to whom the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found 7 allegations not proved and 2 proved after a five-day hearing involving two complainants.
The Tribunal also found that LB had not abused his authority contrary to the Code of Conduct for Solicitors as the Solicitors Regulation Authority had alleged.
The Tribunal accepted Alex’s submission that, in light of the favourable findings, the matter could be dealt with by way of a Suspension. LB was duly suspended for 12 months. The matter has been reported variously in the legal press.
