Charlotte Godber, led by David Jeremy KC and instructed by Tom Brymer and Sue Head of Reeds solicitors defends in murder trial at Reading Crown Court. The Defendant had pleaded guilty to manslaughter, but this plea was not accepted by the Prosecution.
The trial proceeded on the prosecution’s case that the murder was motivated by robbery. Tom Brymer said, “Charlotte’s painstaking analysis of over 48 hours of unused CCTV footage, and careful cross-examination of police civilian witnesses demonstrated that this was not a robbery, the effect of which made a significant difference to the sentence. Charlotte and Mr Jeremy KC were an excellent, hard-working and highly professional team.”
