Anne Whyte KC and Karen Robinson prosecute Peter Sayle, a father accused of murdering his 6 week old child. Huxley Sayle collapsed suddenly at this home address in 2022 whilst in the sole care of the defendant. He had suffered catastrophic head injuries in addition internal injuries to his spine and eyes and fractured ribs. He died 4 weeks later having never regained consciousness.
The case involves multi-disciplinary expert evidence of a complex nature including neuropathology, paediatric neuroradiology, ophthalmology, osteoarticular pathology and paediatrics.
The case is listed for 3 to 5 weeks before Bryan J in Preston Crown Court.
