Charlotte Godber of QEB Hollis Whiteman is representing Davointe Thomas in an ongoing trial at Inner London Crown Court concerning allegations arising from events said to have occurred at a secure psychiatric unit in April 2022.
Mr Thomas denies three counts of rape. A co-defendant, Luther Badejo, denies one count of rape. The prosecution alleges that the complainant, who is a trans identifying female 'a trans man', was sexually assualted shortly after being admitted to an all-male ward at Eden Ward, Lambeth Hospital. The defence case is that sexual activity involving Mr Thomas was consensual.
The trial is ongoing.
