Fiona Robertson appears for the prosecution in proceedings arising from an arson attack on the former East London Central Synagogue in Whitechapel.
The case concerns a fire at the former synagogue on Nelson Street, Tower Hamlets, in the early hours of 5 May 2026. Two fires were set causing damage to the entrance to the synagogue and a set of gates.
The investigation is being led by Counter Terrorism Policing London.
East London Central Synagogue has been disused since 2020 but still clearly displays Jewish symbolism and wording identifying it as a synagogue.
Two defendants, Moses Edwards and Dominic Charles-Turner, have been charged with arson.
The matter is due for trial at the Central Criminal Court on 28 April 2027.
