Ben FitzGerald presented this complex case for the GMC against a doctor whose fitness to practise was impaired by reason of his health, deficient professional performance and misconduct.
Ben successfully guided the GMC and the Tribunal through the appropriate use of evidence from one of the Registrant’s treating doctors which would normally have been considered subject to medical confidentiality but which was crucial in undermining his accounts to other medics. Ben presented a complicated case with clarity and care. The doctor was erased from the Register.
