HCPC v Z (2020)

Thomas Coke-Smyth has been instructed to represent a leading Speech and Language Therapist in criminal and disciplinary proceedings.

It is alleged that Z fabricated communication with six patients who were unable to communicate as presented by her and that Z invented a claim of rape by one of her patients. Counsel successfully represented Ms Haynes at the interim orders hearing in front of the Health and Care Professions Council, and argued that an interim order of conditions rather than suspension as appropriate.
