Jonathan Polnay KC is continuing his role as Counsel to the Afghanistan Inquiry, which is examining allegations of unlawful killings by UK Special Forces during operations in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2013, together with claims of a subsequent cover-up.
This week, the Inquiry published evidence from former UK Special Forces employee Monica Grenfell, who described the culture at a UK military base and recounted allegations she had been told about the treatment of detainees during operations in Afghanistan.
The Afghanistan Inquiry continues to hear evidence as part of its investigation into the allegations and the circumstances surrounding them.
