Yasar Hussain, 27, was convicted at Luton Crown Court for the murder of David Dosa, 53, who was attacked at his flat on 15 August 2024.
Sean Larkin KC, leading Tom Doble, prosecuted the case. Evidence was presented, including CCTV footage which showed Hussain travelling from his home to Mr Dosa’s flat, before entering the building. Moments later, he was captured fleeing the scene. Emergency services were called, but Mr Dosa was pronounced dead on-scene.
During the trial, the court heard that Hussain took steps to avoid arrest following the attack by resetting his mobile phone, destroying the SIM card and having arranged to stay at an Airbnb property of which he was located and arrested.
