Operation Tabernula (Dodgson, Hind, Anderson, Parvizi, Harrison) (2016)

A former banker and an accountant have both been found guilty of insider trading in what is thought to be the biggest case ever brought for share trading abuses in the UK.

Ex-Deutsche Bank corporate broker Martyn Dodgson and accountant Andrew Hind were both convicted by a jury at Southwark Crown Court.

Mark Ellison QC prosecuted on behalf of the FCA; Tom Broomfield was also instructed by the FCA, as disclosure junior.

Tom Broomfield was disclosure counsel and had been instructed since 2012. Prior to trial in 2016, he led a team of junior barristers and FCA staff in a disclosure exercise that encompassed an enormous amount of material. In 2017, Tom advised the FCA on specific aspects of POCA proceedings against Dodgson and Hind.
