Paul Raudnitz KC defends in Operation Neptune homicide trial

The trial has commenced of Chukwuemeka Ahanonu, accused of the murder of Nila Patel in Leicester City Centre on 24^th June 2025.

Mr Ahanonu denies murder and seeks to advance the defence of diminished responsibility.

Paul Raudnitz KC leads for the defence with Michelle Harding of Johnson Astills Solicitors as junior counsel. He is instructed by Helen Johnson, also of Johnson Astills Solicitors.

The trial is set to last four weeks.
