Eleanor Laws QC defended student at Royal Agricultural University accused of rape. Prosecution offered no evidence following defence submissions.

Defendant and three others; College students at Royal Agricultural University, charged with multiple incident gang rape of a fellow student after the College Ball. He was alleged to have raped her again later. He initially faced charges of raping another girl later that evening. Phone evidence repeatedly requested and obtained late in trial, revealing material, which formed basis for successful Abuse of Process submissions. Private costs awarded to Defence on basis of prosecutorial misconduct. Prosecution sought to try the defendant on indecent images charges six months later. Separate Abuse submissions successful and costs application made again.
