John Hilton QC and Rachna Gokani successfully defended a former Detective Constable accused of perverting the course of justice.
It was alleged that, following a complaint of sexual assault at Chelsea Football Club, the former DC was hired and instructed to offer a bribe to the victim in return for her withdrawing her allegation. The defendant, 63, was found not guilty by the unanimous verdict of a jury following an 8 day trial at Isleworth Crown Court.
