R v Green and Green (2016)

Keith Green was charged with fraud by false representation and perverting the course of justice.

The case was based on evidence from a solicitor alleging that the defendant, a Chartered Accountant, lied to her about the value of her law partnership in order to buy the business at an undervalue and then made false allegations about her mistreatment of a child to the Local Authority. Ben represented the defendant alone. Through impeccable written advocacy, he succeeded in securing the dismissal of the first count and in persuading the Crown to abandon the remaining count.
