R v J (2018)

Nadesh successfully defended J who was charged with two counts of burglary.

The Defendant, along with others, was alleged to have kicked in part of the roof of a football club clubhouse and entered the clubhouse stealing a 32 inch TV and bottles of spirits. He was also alleged to have burgled the same premises 3 months later, by the same method. On both occasions his DNA and fingerprints were found at the premises, despite having no association with the football club.

Nadesh secured a unanimous acquittal on both counts.
