R v Roberts (2016)

David Jeremy QC prosecuted Mr Roberts for the murder of Mr O’Mohony. 

The victim, Mr O’Mohony was enjoying a football match in a public house in Hornchurch, Essex. Mr O’Mohony challenged Mr Roberts threatening behaviour towards the barmaid which resulted in O’Mohony being stabbed to death by Roberts. Following this altercation witnesses stated that they had to barricade the door of the public house in order to stop Roberts forcing entry. The defendant was charged with murder by knife attack.
