R v X (2016)

Sean Larkin QC defended a man accused of tying up his wife, repeatedly raping her and taking photos in the course of the rape.

There was a later allegation of him ‘blackmailing’ her by threatening to broadcast the pictures if she took divorce proceedings. Difficult procedural issues relating to sexual offences.

The defendant was acquitted.
